Visitor Guidelines
VISITOR RESTRICTION UPDATE
VISITATION HOURS: 1PM-5PM and 6:30PM-9PM.
No overnight visits.
All visitors must:
– Wear a mask
– Complete a temperature check
– Answer a set of screening questions
We thank you for your understanding as we take additional precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone in our facility.
Effective immediately, Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute will be as follows:
- Two (2) visitors to be designated per patient, per day.
- In patient rooms, only one visitor is allowed at a time.
- In day rooms, café, or conference rooms where appropriate social distancing may occur, two visitors may be allowed at a time.
- Visitor must be age 16 or older, without exception.
- Visitor must supply proof of complete vaccination including booster, if eligible (> 6 months from second dose). OR
- If unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated, visitor must show proof of negative COVID-19 test prior to each visit. (Within 2 days for PCR or 1 day for antigen test). OR
- Unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated with history of COVID-19 within the prior 90 days may provide documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in lieu of testing after initial 10 day quarantine period.
- All visitors must be screened for fever and COVID-19 symptoms upon each entry.
- All visitors will be provided with a surgical face mask that must be worn over the mouth and nose at all times while in the facility, including patient rooms.
- All visitors must maintain social distancing from staff and other patients/visitors.
- Visitors must consume food and drink outdoors.
- Visitors must limit movement within the facility – movement must be directly to and from the patient room only, unless participating in family training with prior arrangement.
There may be some circumstances in which these visitor guidelines may be modified. Please check with Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute leadership to determine what is best for the patient or situation.
These guidelines are based on current health conditions in our community and are subject to change.
Guidelines at other hospitals, skilled nursing facilities or outpatient centers may differ from Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute guidelines based on restrictions in various facilities or levels of care.
